What is M Life Rewards?
With the rising popularity of rewards programs, points cards, and perks, MGM Resorts has introduced M Life Rewards, a loyalty program where members can earn rewards on slot games and at the tables at MGM Resorts locations across the US. The more you play, the more your M Life Rewards pay. You can also earn hotel, dining, entertainment, and spa experiences, as well as other perks and goodies.
Some of the hotels and casinos where you can earn M Life Rewards include the Bellagio, MGM Grand, the Mirage, Excalibur, MGM National Harbor, MGM Grand Detroit, Empire City Casino, and MGM Northfield Park. How many points you earn, and the benefits you’ll garner from those points, vary from location to location. It’s all about location, location, location, after all. Keep reading and we’ll give you the 411 on how the program works, the tier system, and how you can get the most bang for your buck.
The M Life Rewards Tiers and How They Work
To start your M Life Rewards journey, you’ll need to begin earning points. You can earn points, Express Comps, and Tier Credits at any and all MGM Resorts across the country but, depending on where you spin, you’ll earn points and credits at a different rate. Express Comps and points can be earned by playing select gaming activities. Also, every time you use your M Life Rewards Mastercard, you’ll earn points. Express Comps are a cash-like currency that you can redeem to pay for certain expenses (hotel stays, dinner etc.), while points can either be redeemed for free rounds on your favorite slots or exchanged for Express Comps.
The more points you earn, the more Express Comps you’ll get and the faster you’ll move up the M Life Rewards Tiers. There are five (5) Tiers in total:
- Sapphire (entry level)
- Pearl (20,000 Tier Credits needed)
- Gold (60,000 Tier Credits needed)
- Platinum (160,000 Tier Credits needed)
- and Noir (invite only).
The benefits you’ll earn from each tier vary, which benefits increasing in value as you make your way up to Noir membership.
You qualify for Tier Status by earning Tier Credits. The more credits you have, the higher up the ladder you’ll move. You can earn Tier Credits for most of your spending at MGM Resorts, including slot play, video poker, table games, hotel accommodations, dining, entertainment, and spa services. So, no matter where you spend your hard-won winnings, you’ll earn points.
As we’ve said before, however, the amount of Tier Credits you’ll earn for a specific activity varies from MGM location to MGM location. At MGM resorts in Las Vegas, for example, you’ll earn 25 Tier Credits per dollar spent on non-gaming spending. Whereas, when you spend money on non-gaming activities (entertainment, dining etc.) at regional MGM Resorts, you’ll only earn eight (8) Tier Credits per dollar spent.
