Esteemed casino visionary Steve Wynn designed and developed this exquisite lakefront property situated at 1041 Lakeshore Blvd. in Incline Village, Nevada. The estate has been sold for a remarkable $62 million, making it the highest-priced home sale in Lake Tahoe’s illustrious history.

The property is locally known as the Old Forge Wynn Estate. Spanning nearly 13,000 square feet, the main residence offers spectacular views of Lake Tahoe. It houses a lavish primary suite along with three additional ensuite bedrooms, each with stunning lake vistas. Also included are an elegant office, a gourmet kitchen, a home theater, a fitness room, a grand outdoor swimming pool, a deep-water pier equipped with a jet ski platform, and two private buoys.
In addition to the main house, there is a separate guest house providing an extra 1,500 square feet of living space that includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Wynn Influence Remains Strong
While real estate in Lake Tahoe has stabilized post-pandemic—amid an influx of Californians moving to Nevada for tax advantages—the luxury property market continues to thrive. Prices for high-end homes remain in high demand, particularly among tech entrepreneurs from the Bay Area, including Oracle’s Larry Ellison.
The listing agent, Christine Perry of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno, emphasized the rarity of such a generational home coming on the market, proclaiming, “This transaction represents a historic achievement in the luxury real estate sector of Lake Tahoe, establishing a new standard for exclusive properties in the area.”

The previous owners, Nora and Dr. Michael Lacey, purchased the Wynn estate in June 2017 for $31.1 million and invested around $5 million into upgrades while preserving much of Wynn’s original interior design.
Photos showcasing the property revealed Wynn’s distinctive influence, such as the great room adorned with iconic red drapes and seating mirroring the opulence of Wynn and Encore’s casino lounges. The beach chairs appeared to be inspired by the Encore Beach Club, embodying the luxurious lifestyle associated with Wynn’s branding.
Details about the new owners remain undisclosed, as Washoe County property records have yet to be updated to reflect the monumental $62 million sale, which finalized on October 11.

House Ownership History
Wynn constructed Old Forge in 1994, following the establishment of Treasure Island on the Las Vegas Strip. The land was purchased by Wynn for $6.5 million in September 1993.

Wynn frequented this retreat to escape Southern Nevada’s fast-paced lifestyle. After acquiring the property, he sold it to attorney Paul Bible in July 1998 for $17 million, who retained the property until it changed hands to the Laceys.
Interestingly, during his university years at the University of Nevada, Reno, Bible worked at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe’s parking department and later became chair of the Nevada Gaming Commission from 1983 to 1987.
The annual property tax for 1041 Lakeshore Blvd. stands at an impressive $234,198.
Conclusion
The sale of this magnificent estate not only reflects the soaring luxury market in Lake Tahoe but also showcases the lasting legacy of Steve Wynn in the world of high-end real estate. As the market continues to heat up, properties like this serve as benchmarks for future developments in the area.
